What remains to be done?


Some Debian maintainers want to add a dependency-based init script system to Debian, with parallel execution of scripts

So, it looks like this is the right time to fix the abstraction layer to support dependency-based systems

We should also add proper logging of init script activity, and a init script registry to fix the current problems while we're at it
